Lilienthal Grotesk typeface
Commissioned by a gaming company Algorithm LLC and designed for the computer game Knights of the Sky, which is dedicated to the pilots of the World War I.
Lilienthal Grotesk was inspired by the early 20th-century sans serif typefaces, yet evolving as an independent style, and its Italic originates in the distinctive handwriting used on maps and engineering plans of the time.
Lilienthal Grotesk help recreating the authentic atmosphere of the era of the first brave flights.
Vera named the typeface after the engineer and experimenter, Otto Lilienthal, whose inventions preceded the construction of airplane.
